The National Health Assessment System (SINAS) was developed to monitor the global quality of hospitals by Entidade Reguladora da Saude (ERS). A grade of Excellence in all areas evaluated was awarded to both the Alvor and the Gambelas Hospitals.
The areas evaluated were Clinical Excellence, Adequacy and Comfort of Facilities, Patient Focused and Patient Satisfaction.
This multidimensional evaluation system is carried out on two levels. The 1st level confirms if the criteria considered by the ERS as being essential for the provision of quality health care is being met. This is achieved through the analysis of organizational structure and culture indicators.
Clinical Excellence was awarded to the General Surgery, Intensive Care, Gynecology, Obstetrics, Orthopedics and Pediatrics services.
Patient Safety, Comfort of Facilities and Patient Focused, achieved the highest rating. Congratulations to everyone involved, including our patients that on a continuous basis, show us their loyalty and challenge us to pursue the path of excellence every day.
